What an amazing day it was at Oak Hills Golf Course–one of our best turn-outs of pre-registered teams and hole sponsors! On behalf of the MBA Executive Members, Golf Steering Committee and volunteers, I extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to everyone who braved the “unpredictable weather” last Monday in support of our 17th Annual Midlands Baptist Association (MBA) Charity Golf Tournament to raise awareness for Hunger and Hunger in the Midlands. Golfers were treated to a delightful hot-plated lunch catered by The Friendly Caterer, complimentary team photos by Picture Perfect Portraits, great door prizes and MBA golf bags stuffed with goodies. SC’s own Golf Pro Kevin Lyles graced us with his presence again on Hole 18 with his long “swings” and Golf Marshall Robert Parker kept the game moving, We tip our hats to MBA Moderator Rev. Dr. Blakely N Scott. for his vision of this outreach ministry and presence at the event.
